The Fond du Lac Jazz Festival supports music education in three ways, through our
Honors Jazz Ensemble, through jazz clinics held periodically in conjunction with
the festival, and through the awarding of music scholarships to aspiring young musicians.
Since its inception in 1983, the Jazz Festival has awarded more than 100 scholarships for study at
music camps and at the college level.
Winners are chosen annually from among the young artists who participate in the Honors Jazz
Ensemble. Each winner is awarded a scholarship for continued study in college, for lessons or for
attendance at a music camp.
